Forget store-bought ketchup! You'll never go back to it once you try this homemade ketchup. Store-bought ketchup has a ridiculous amount of sugar, high fructose corn syrup and artificial ingredients. This homemade ketchup on the other hand is free from all of that and it's so easy to make!
Add all of the ingredients to a medium-size pot.
Place the pot over medium-high heat and let the ingredients cook until they are soft and broken down, about 20-25 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Once tomatoes are broken down, turn off the heat and let the ingredients cool down completely.
Now put all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend till you get a smooth puree.
Return purée to the stove and cook over medium heat.
When it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low. Let simmer and stir occasionally for about 45 minutes. The puree will thicken and slowly turn into a ketchup-like consistency.
When it gets to your preferred consistency, turn off the heat and let chill to room temperature.
Enjoy!
