Now, the ingredient list isn’t the shortest thing ever. It takes 15 ingredients to get this flavor profile, but there’s no need to be intimidated by the ingredient list! It’s basically just pecans and spices that you likely already have in your pantry. Plus, it only takes 5 minutes to throw together!

Pecan Chorizo (V/GF)
This protein-packed Pecan Chorizo only takes 5 minutes to throw together! It's balanced with savory spices, notes of cinnamon and cloves and has a distinct, yet mild, tang. SO delicious!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup raw halved pecans
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp cayenne powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
Instructions

Finely chop the pecans and transfer to a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients besides the olive oil and bay leaves. Stir until fully combined.

Add the oil to a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once oil is hot, add the pecan mixture. Then, add the bay leaves and stir together.

Cook for 5 minutes and stir occasionally to avoid burning.

Remove bay leaves and discard.

Serve pecan chorizo warm and enjoy! Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
